![]() ![]() That sound is an alternative sound to the mainstream, so that in many ways the evolution of hardcore is unrecognized in the mainstream, and why it feels so fresh and exciting when the curious party-goer stumbles upon it, or searches and finally finds it. It was the point where the ravers made their own sound. Hardcore EDM, or techno if you like, harkens back to that pivotal moment in rave history. ![]() In the early rave days, we were introducing a hodge-podge of music to the crowd, blending it together and making something new. In fact, that was the interesting thing, all along the tour. They were joined by a new breed of ravers, getting a taste of hardcore for the first time, or at least the first time live. Dan Mross and Colby Newton, veterans of the Turbo Zen days, were also in attendance. There were a few attendees, such as Dario Kenning, who attended Pittsburgh’s first rave on December 13, 1991, the Psychotronic Slack Rave. There was a crowd of old and new last night. Tommyknocker at Trauma Live’s Harder Styles Tour 2016: Pittsburgh Being the least populated city on the tour, that was reflected in the attendance, however, for those that made it out in the 20 degree Fahrenheit cold, it was a life changing and transformative event that most will recognize a few years from now, and one that I see now, simply based on my past experience in this realm. I was born in Pittsburgh, DJed my first rave in Pittsburgh, and when asked where I am from I always want to say Pittsburgh, even if I haven’t had a mailing address there in decades. I also plan to play some new stuff from my label with Satronica & John Bas, Kontaminated Recordings. What specifically are you planning to give to the audience at Hard Electronic? Unfortunately, the stage dive did not turn out too good and the people were in shock and did not even try to catch me! I have been producing and releasing underground music for 26 years and already performed on some major events like Dominator, Thunderdome, Mysteryland, Defqon.1, EDC – Vegas, Ground Zero, played all over the USA, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Canada, and even Hungary.īUT, one of my biggest moments of my career was performing at my first Thunderdome event in Leeuwarden, Holland on April 20th, 1996.This was my first performance to a crowd of 20,000 people and I really rocked the house! People still talk about my set and my performance that night! It went so well that I decided to do a stage drive at the end of my performance. What moment do you cherish the most so far in your career? I really spend a lot of time trying to find tracks that I think are going to really get the dance floor going! I like to scratch a lot and do tricks to give the crowd a little more energy. My tempo ranges between 130 BPM – 200 BPM. I play many different styles of Hardcore & Hard Dance Music: Old School Techno, Early Rave, Happy Hardcore, Hardcore, Dutch Freestyle, Subgroud. the better!! =] I like to play tracks that are hard but still have a party vibe. I am trying to get the dance floor in a frenzy! The more energy. Delirium appears at Hard Electronic Sept. I was not quite sure of the meaning and after reading it I immediately felt that this was the perfect artist name for me and my Hardcore productions. I was looking through the dictionary one day and I stumbled across the word Delirium. I am soooo influenced by my geographical location that I wrote a track about it. He’s blasted tracks around the globe and September 8 straight to your dome! Ladies and gents, let’s give it up for DJ Delirium!
